📸 ShoeScan
Have a basketball shoe but don't know what it is? Scan it with ShoeScan.
Take four photos of the shoe — front, back and both sides — and ShoeScan reads them together to identify the brand, model, colourway and style code. We only tell you what the photos actually show, and we never sell the shoe: we point you to GOAT, StockX, eBay and other marketplaces.
AI-assisted: photos are read by an AI vision model and checked against our catalog. It can be wrong, unverified details are left blank, and you should confirm the exact model on the retailer's page. How we use AI
Step 1 — take all four photos
All four are required. ShoeScan compares them against each other, so one photo on its own is never enough.
Front (toe)
Stand the shoe with the toe pointing straight at you and take the picture looking directly at the front of the shoe.
👟➡️📷 toe pointing at you
- • The toe box and the whole front shape must be inside the picture
- • Hold the camera about one arm's length away (30–50 cm)
- • Keep the phone level with the shoe, not looking down at it
- • Good light, no shadow across the toe
- • Do not cover any logo with your hand
Back (heel)
Turn the shoe around so the heel points at you, then take the picture looking straight at the back.
📷⬅️👟 heel pointing at you
- • The heel shape, the back logo and the stitching must all be visible
- • About one arm's length away
- • Keep the whole heel in the frame, top to bottom
- • Good light so the stitching is readable
- • Nothing leaning against or covering the heel
Left side profile
Place the shoe sideways with the toe pointing to your left, and photograph the whole side of the shoe.
👟 toe to the left, whole shoe in frame
- • The complete shoe from toe to heel must fit inside the picture
- • Stand back a little further (about 50 cm) so nothing is cut off
- • Camera straight on to the side, not tilted
- • Side logos and the midsole must be visible
- • Only one shoe in the picture
Right side profile
Turn the shoe the other way so the toe points to your right, and photograph the whole side again.
👟 toe to the right, whole shoe in frame
- • Again the complete shoe, toe to heel, inside the picture
- • About 50 cm away, camera straight on
- • Show the other side's logos and panels
- • Sharp focus — hold still until the camera focuses
- • Only one shoe in the picture
Step 2 — add extra photos (optional)
Every extra photo makes the identification more accurate. A size tag or style code is the single most useful one.
Step 3 — your size (optional)
We only read a size when it's printed on a tag in your photos. If it isn't, you can type it here and we'll carry it through to the marketplace links.
4 of the 4 required photos still to go.
ShoeScan identifies shoes and points you to other companies' marketplaces. ShoeMatch does not sell, stock, package, ship or deliver shoes, and never handles your payment.
